Hacked version of AlarmDroid with Malware

May 18th, 2011 | By fabian | Category: Blog

Dear users,

there is a hacked version of AlarmDroid published in the Android Market (as “Advanced Alarm” with package name com.splunchy.android.super.alarmclock). This application is illegally distributed and contains malware. So be careful!

I already informed Google about that, but it might take some days.

Keep clean!

I downloaded an Alarm Droid Upgrade (it thought that is what it was) and it has disabled ALL audio files (i cannot play audio files that I have recorded with other programs on the audio player on the phone) Is there anyone else having this problem and how do you fix it? Any ideas??? Is this the same malware as what is reported in the Advanced? Did I down load that by mistake? Any ideas how to fix it? Thanks, S
